38th AGM / Awards Evening

Wednesday July 10th 7.30pm at Winsford Civic Hall

After much consideration the format will be the same as previous years. A prompt start at 7.30pm is essential if we are to finish by 10.30pm at the latest. There will be 3 extracts of 10 minutes each (Time them and BOO anyone who exceeds the limit!). Our adjudicator will give his summary of the plays he has seen in the previous year and give his reasons for selecting the winners. We can look forward to some of Garth’s terrible jokes during his “slot” so be prepared to groan (only joking Garth!).

During the evening there will be a couple of intervals to enable you to purchase drinks at the bar. Tea and coffee will also be available. A cabaret style layout will enable you to bring your drinks into the hall to enjoy at your leisure while the extracts and awards proceed. There is also a large car park for the Civic Hall – a major consideration when selecting this venue.

Unfortunately, all the fun of the evening will be spoilt for some by the AGM. This will be kept as short and sweet as possible and if we go over half an hour you have another chance to BOO! Feel free to HISS as well if it will make you feel better!

It is essential I have these in good time to enable them to be engraved and cleaned. I will contact individual 2000/2001 winners to make arrangements to uplift these.
