Lights Camera Action

Did you know that Cheshire is now being promoted as an ideal location for film makers? An office has been established in Frodsham to promote our Grand Homes such as Disley Hall and Tatton Hall. The new Runcorn bridge by night could stand in for America we are tols and Ellesmere Port also offers possibilities. This is not to meantion the delightful Cheshire countryside (with typical farm smells that could come as a shock to townie actors!) However even these could be preferable to the hazards of filming that took place in one area of Runcorn where a glue factory is situated! If Cheshire did establish itself as a location there could be opportunities for work as “extras” and , I guess, no shortage of CTG members keen to move from stage to screen.

And Finally

Reflections on the craft of acting “Sometimes the equation is, if there is no apparent effort, then it can’t be registering, which is ridiculous, because if you see effort, you know something isn’t right. It’s excrutiating to watch”.

Miranda Richardson – from “In the Company of Actors” published by A & C Black.
