Purvies Productions is a small but lively theatre group centred around the Scout Headquarters in Sutton, Macclesfield. The group was founded in 2002; their first production being The Ghost Train by Arnold Ridley. Their second production in May 2004 was the very successful performance of When we are Married by J B Priestley. This was followed in 2005 by the riotous farce Off the Hook by Derek Benfield - another outstanding sucess. Their most recent production The Winding Sheet by Taffy Davies was first performed in June 2007 in Sutton and then transferred to a second presentation of packed houses in the Macclesfield Amateur Dramatic Society theatre in Macclesfield itself.
