The Club Theatre is over 100 years old (being formed in 1896). We originated from a church dramatic society performing morality plays originally, such as the lottery ticket and found in a four wheeler (now both lost to posterity). After 1900 the plays gradually became more general in their entertainment value and we continued in that vein until 1946 when we changed our name to The Club Theatre. We moved into our present theatre in 1962 and have grown stronger in membership over the years, we currently have about 650 audience members.

As well as performing 5 full length plays and numerous other dramatic events we also have a thriving drama school for ages 11 to 18.
